Terms of service

Welcome to New England Flower Preservation. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Our Services

New England Flower Preservation specialises in preserving flowers and botanicals in resin, timber, and custom keepsake pieces. As flowers are natural products, every preservation piece is unique and variations in colour, shape, and appearance are to be expected.

2. Booking & Deposits

  • A booking is secured once the required deposit has been paid.
  • Deposits are non-refundable as they reserve your place in our production schedule.
  • Final payment must be made before your completed piece is shipped or collected.

3. Flower Condition

The quality of the final preservation depends heavily on the condition of flowers received.

We cannot guarantee preservation outcomes for flowers that arrive:

  • Wilted
  • Browned or damaged
  • Mouldy
  • Several days old without proper care
  • Poorly packaged during transit

While we will always do our best to achieve the highest quality result, flowers may naturally change colour during the drying and preservation process.

4. Artistic Discretion

Each preservation piece is handcrafted and custom designed.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • Every piece will be unique.
  • Exact flower placement cannot be guaranteed.
  • Colours may lighten, darken, or change during preservation.
  • Some flowers preserve better than others.
  • We may make minor artistic adjustments to achieve the best overall result.

5. Production Timeframes

Preservation is a lengthy process that may take several months depending on:

  • Drying times
  • Product type
  • Seasonal workload
  • Weather and environmental conditions

Estimated completion timeframes are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed.

6. Resin Characteristics

Resin is a handcrafted medium and may naturally contain:

  • Minor microbubbles
  • Slight ripples
  • Small imperfections
  • Variations in finish

These characteristics are considered normal and are not defects.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the custom nature of preservation products:

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled once flowers have entered the preservation process.
  • Refunds are not available for completed custom pieces.

Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected.

8. Shipping

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for shipping of flowers to our studio unless otherwise agreed.

We take great care in packaging completed keepsakes; however:

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.
  • Risk transfers to the customer once the parcel has been dispatched.
  • Any shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

9. Storage of Flowers & Completed Pieces

Flowers and completed pieces not collected or paid for within 60 days of notification may incur storage fees.

Items abandoned for extended periods without communication may be disposed of or resold to recover costs.

10. Photography & Marketing

We may photograph completed preservation pieces for use on:

  • Our website
  • Social media platforms
  • Marketing materials

If you would prefer your piece not be photographed, please advise us in writing when placing your order.

11. Limitation of Liability

While every reasonable care is taken throughout the preservation process, flowers are delicate natural materials and preservation outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the preservation service.

We are not responsible for:

  • Natural flower deterioration
  • Colour changes during preservation
  • Damage caused during transit to our studio
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
